These first four weeks have been some of the most action packed, nerve-wracking weeks I have witnessed, and a lot of that is due to this dynasty league. We have had multiple 1% comebacks, improbable upsets, top tier performances, and many studs performing way below expectations. These monthly recaps will go over the biggest storylines in each of the four weeks that have passed. I will try to make sure every team is in each monthly recap once or twice but I cannot promise anything. Let's recap!

Week 1

Tristan's miraculous 1% comeback on Sunday night

Gonna start off this article with an absolute banger of a week 1 matchup. Tristan's year started out with a bang on Thursday Night Football when Javonte Williams scored 2 touchdowns against the Eagles and totalling a very good 21.90 fantasy points. The week looked great for the Coke Withdrawals, until Sunday morning when several players did not meet expectations. Mark Andrews only had 1 catch, Tyrone Tracy averaged 2.5 yards per carry for a measly 6 points, and after his great rookie season Bucky had a slow start with only 15 fantasy points and a poor 2.6 yards per carry. While it was not all bad for this team, Jakobi Meyers had 20 points, this team was down 127.22 - 96.4 with Josh Allen and Zay Flowers on Sunday Night Football which sounds good but still had to face the big bad Derrick Henry. Josh Allen started the night with a passing touchdown giving Tristan a little hope, but early in the 2nd Quarter Derrick Henry broke free for a 30 yard touchdown run giving Josh an insurmountable lead. All hope was lost for Tristan. All his hopes and dreams were being crushed by Derrick Henry in week 1. Essentially, Tristan's life was over because of this matchup. Sleeper said he had a 1% chance to win, but to Tristan it should have said 0%. But little did he know there was light. The dim light at the end of the tunnel was Josh Allen and Zay Flowers. Lamar Jackson started to find Zay on multiple throws, and even scored a touchdown in the 2nd half. Josh Allen started to cook with a rushing touchdown at the start of the 4th Quarter and things were starting to feel good for Tristan, but just as quickly as things were going well, Derrick Henry called game with a 46 yard touchdown run to give him north of 30 fantasy points. After a punt and a decent drive leading to a passing touchdown for Allen, it was too little too late for him... or was it? Derrick Henry with a very uncharacteristic fumble losing him 2 fantasy points and giving the Bills terrific field position. Josh Allen then clinches the win for Tristan with a rushing touchdown to give him almost 40 fantasy points and along with 30 from Zay they won the week for the Coke Withdrawals.

Reigning Champion suffers several injuries and loses week 1 because of it

Ethan's Tony Dorset was looking to get off to a strong start after winning their first championship last season, but that was unfortunately not what they got. Things started to go wrong on Friday Night Football in Brazil when Travis Kelce collided with Xavier Worthy early in the game, and Worthy suffered a dislocated shoulder and was removed from the game. Worthy has currently missed the next two weeks and currently (writing this on Sunday September 21st) uncertain for the future. This was a big blow to a weaker wider receiver room than last year and that's just the first injury. This team suffered two more injuries later in the week with Brock Purdy and George Kittle going down. Kittle valiantly put up 13.50 fantasy points before injuring his hamstring and subsequently going on IR. Brock Purdy actually ended up playing the entire game and put up a solid 16.78 fantasy points but it was revealed after the game that he suffered a sprain in his AC joint in his non throwing shoulder along with a minor case of turf toe. These three injuries set back this team a lot and when playing against The Pollard Express, you need a fully healthy team to win. Tony Dorset dropped this one 145.32 - 141.28

Worst rated team with a large upset

The Rome Wasnt Built in a Day franchise was voted as the team least likely to win a championship this season with not much top end talent, and many unproven younger players. This was still partly the case in week 1 as the running back group combined for 15 points and Waddle plus Evan Engram only combined for 13 points. 4 of my 10 starters combined for a measly 28 fantasy points, but there is where my players showed out. Deebo Samuel, Ceedee Lamb, and the rookie Emeka Egbuka rallied to help push this team past the big scary CMC Revenge Year roster that contains several stars. Christian McCaffrey, Alvin Kamara, Davante Adams, Jonathan Taylor and many more. This was a fantastic win for the young squad and hopefully gives them some momentum for the rest of the year. Maybe just maybe, they put the league on notice this week. Probably not though.

Week 2

The Coke Withdrawals comeback from 1% a second week in a row

Week 2 got off to another banger of a matchup involving Tristan once again. Welcome to the Naberhood looked to bounce back from a week 1 loss as they look to make a push for the playoffs this season, but the week started pretty poorly for them as Tucker Kraft had a monster 26 point game for the Coke Withdrawals, but that was only Thursday. Sunday was much better for the Naberhood. Most notably, Amon-ra St Brown, and Malik Nabers have unbelievable games combining for a wild 81.4 fantasy points. Coming into Monday Night Football the Coke Withdrawals were down 34 points with Bucky Irving and Jakobi Meyers. This lead started to seem insurmountable early on in the game as Bucky struggled to get points running the ball and the Buccaneers started to give more opportunities to Rachaad White. Things were looking down for Tristan with Sleeper projecting a 1% chance at a comeback win, but in the second half Bucky Irving started to get more involved in the passing game getting 6 receptions for 50 yards really boosting his points. Finishing with 20 was solid but Jakobi Meyers still needed at least 14 points to win. This game had both owners sweating with Geno playing a subpar game throwing 3 interceptions and having 0 completions beyond 10 air yards. The Naberhood was still leading deep into the 4th quarter as Meyers was picking up steam. 3 catches on 3 drives leading to the last Raiders drive of the game with 3 minutes left in the game. Geno was able to find Meyers for a 4 yard game giving him the final 1.4 points Tristan needed to make a 2nd straight comeback from just a 1% chance

Rome Wasnt Built in a Day rallies for a second straight win

I bet it was not on anyone's bingo card that this roster started the season 2 and 0. But with one of the easier matchups, this team continues its hot streak for a second straight win on the back of a few key players. Rhamondre Stevenson, Jordan Love, and Ceedee Lamb all had 20 points, and Rome Odunze might have started his breakout with 33.8 fantasy points. This team put up a respectable 156 points as a team, and with emerging talents of Rome Odunze and Emeka Egbuka, look to make a push for the playoffs on the back of star Ceedee Lamb.

Battle of the Twins goes to PoohShiesty9

The matchups between CMC Revenge Year (Ryan) and PoohShiesty9 (Geoffrey) will always have fun undertones as the two owners are twins. There will always be an inherent rivalry between the two that goes beyond fantasy football, but makes their matchups against each other even more meaningful. Ryan is looking to bounce back after a week 1 loss to a team well below their talent level, and Geoffrey is coming off a week 1 win against a team also below their talent level. Geoffrey earned his bragging rights for now moving to 2-0 with a 139-118 win over his brother but the real importance will come down the stretch in week 11 when they face off again. That matchup will have serious playoff implications especially with Ryan going down 0-2 early in the year as several key players have been struggling early. Watch out if his team figures it out though.

Tony Dorset gets their first win despite multiple struggles

After week 1 this team was looking shaky for a couple reasons. Injuries are already killing this team and the two first round rookies have not been startable. Without Worthy, Purdy, and Kittle this team has struggled to find replacements for some of them. Daniel Jones has so far been a fantastic replacement for Purdy but without Kittle this team had a big 0 at the tight end position. Colston Loveland was a top 10 pick in the NFL draft and a second rounder in our rookie draft, but had yet to gain a consistent and big enough role to garner fantasy starts which put this team in a poor position. Lastly, the rookies Omarion Hampton and Treveyon Henderson have yet to hit their stride which has really hindered what this team could do early in the season. But, despite the adversity, the reigning champions played through and got their first win against the Skattebros. This loss felt worse for Josh as his biggest offseason acquisition, Derrick Henry, put up a measly 2.8 points when he is capable of so much better. Tony Dorset looks to keep the ball rolling, while the Skattebros are still searching for their first win.

Week 3

The Pollard Express puts up 200 points as they improve to 3-0 while the Naberhood falls to 0-3

I could say this was the breakout game for this team, but it's hard to say that when they are undefeated and gained their third win this year. Almost everything seemed to click this week for them. Kincaid and Cook on Thursday Night had 19 and 23 points respectively and it kept rolling for this team on Sunday. Caleb Williams threw a monster 4 touchdowns on route to 29 fantasy points, AJ Brown showed why Maysen paid so much for him with a 24 point game, Garrett Wilson had 25 points on 10 catches, and lastly DJ Moore scored a touchdown for a solid 13 points (Kicker and Defence also combined for a huge 38 fantasy points). This meant the Naberhood unfortunately had very little chance at winning this week unless Nabers and St. Brown combined for 80 points again (they did not). The Pollard Express now one of only 2 teams without a loss, and the Naberhood becomes one of 3 teams without a win this season.

PoohShiesty9 Kills Rome Wasnt Built in a Day's winning streak

This Rome team was looking for a franchise record 3-0 start this year, as they looked pretty decent the last two weeks but this matchup would be a true test for them. This game ended up being a blowout win for PoohShiesty as everyone showed up this week with everyone scoring at least 10 points and half the lineup even had 20+ points. PoohShiesty had a great 175 points this week cruising to a 3-0 record as Rome's team falls to 2-1 with a very detrimental injury to their star player Ceedee Lamb. Lamb suffered a high ankle sprain in the first quarter and left with 0 points. This franchise hopes he will be back soon.

Week 4

The Coke Withdrawals take down the formerly undefeated PoohShiesty9

PoohShiesty9 has cruised to a 3-0 record despite some small hiccups from star players. Jefferson has not been getting as many looks with J.J. McCarthy and Carson Wentz at quarterback, and Nico Collins has struggled to get a large amount of targets in an offence that does not have enough time to have routes develop far down the field. But despite some of these early year struggles, they are comfortably 3-0, or were 3-0 until they matched up against the Coke Withdrawals. Despite the good efforts from Travis Etienne and Justin Jefferson it was not enough to beat the 4-headed monster that was Josh Allen, Bucky Irving, Javonte Williams, and DK Metcalf who all had 20+ points and combined for 100 points this week. This shuffled the standings quite a bit as the Coke Withdrawals jumped up to #2 in the league, while PoohShiesty9 fell a couple spots to #4.

The Pollard Express stays undefeated in a close one

The Pollard Express was looking to stay undefeated as they faced off against the 2-1 Rome Wasnt Built in a Day franchise. What made this matchup so interesting was not the undefeated implications for the Pollard Express, but was because of the large trade that was made just a couple days before Sunday. Rome Wasn't Built in a Day decided to cash in on their young emerging star in Emeka Egbuka (along with 2 2nd round picks) in exchange for Ricky Pearsall and 2 1st round picks. This trade was met with a lot of surprise by many other owners around the league, and were very curious to see what each team would do after the trade. While that has yet to be seen, this matchup garnered even more attention after the blockbuster trade. Egbuka put up 20 points after a 70 yard touchdown which helped the Pollard Express reach 145.98 points this week. This was too much to overcome for the Rome franchise as Ricky Pearsall was injured during the game after accumulating only 10 points this was not the end for them as the team fought hard but unfortunately a Jordan Love fumble costed this team 2 points and the match ended 145.98-143.98 in the Pollard Express' favour boosting them to an undefeated first month.

Mahomies over Mahoes and Welcome to the Naberhood break their winless streak

Both of these teams had playoff aspirations coming into the season but have not been close to that. Both teams come into week 4 with winless records hoping to at least put one win on the board and maybe built some momentum for the next month. The Mahomies had a very tough matchup against the Njigbas in Paris who were 2-1 looking to creep up the standings but unfortunately did not know what they were getting into this week. This was the breakout week for the Mahomies putting up a whopping 188.30 fantasy points as a team with 30 point performances from Kenneth Gainwell, Ashton Jeanty, and George Pickens. Gainwell filled in for an injured Jaylen Warren but this was the breakout week for Jeanty and Pickens truly showing how dominant they can be. This was a huge first win for the Mahomies and should be encouraged for the next month. The Naberhood was battling the 3rd 0-3 team at this point which was the Skattebros. Both teams just did not want to be the last remaining winless team, which made the matchup all the more interesting. The Naberhood had great performances from Bijan Robinson, Amon-ra St. Brown, and Quinshon Judkins helping this team get to a solid 154 points to not be the embarrassing last winless in the league. That honour, or dishonour i guess, goes to the Skattebros starting the first month winless after also being a playoff hopeful.

This matchup was bittersweet for the Naberhood as the win felt great, but seeing Malik Nabers go down for the season with an ACL tear was heartbreaking. This team will have a massive hole at the wide receiver position now and must find a way to fill it if they want to make a run at the playoffs this year.

Matchups/Storylines to watch out for in the next month

How long will the Pollard Express stay undefeated?

This one could last several more weeks or could even end in week 5, it is hard to predict when this team will lose. This roster is just stacked with talent it is hard to predict that every single player will have down games for this team to lose. One thing of note is that with bye weeks starting, the randomness will be increased

When will the Skattebros win their first game?

This one is similar to the previous one as it is hard to predict when this will occur. But I think this team is due for some positive regression coming. Basically their good players have been struggling or injured which has really hurt this team. I still think Derrick Henry and Terry Mclaurin can be the players they were last year (when Terry gets back to playing that is), and the addition of Jayden Daniels back to the lineup this week will be a huge boost.

CMC Revenge Year Struggling after Finals Appearance

CMC Revenge Year seemed poised to make another playoff run this year after their arrival last year. Ladd McConkey, Brian Thomas Jr. and Jonathan Taylor were the stars that pushed this team through the playoffs to the finals and the two young studs (Ladd and BTJ) were seeking that same success this year. Unfortunately for the team owner Ryan, both those players have been a large disappointment so far as this team is out of the playoff picture right now with a 1-3 record. While only out of the playoffs by 1 game right now, the hole this team is in could get exponentially deeper if their players don't return to what we know they are capable of.

Great first month of the season, I'm loving the activity this league has and I can't wait for the rest of the season. Next month will hopefully be just as action-packed as this one, but November should be a big time for articles. I have plenty of great ideas for you guys, just watch out for them.
